Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows combine the traits of being in or close to a ski resort with mountain living. The merger of the ski operations now means one pass is good at both Alpine and Squaw. Squaw Valley is both a residential community and a ski village. The village at Squaw offers resort shopping and dining. In addition to the ski village the Resort at Squaw Creek offers hotel type facilities and an 18 hole golf course along the valley floor.
Located just a few miles from Tahoe City, Squaw and Alpine are as close to downtown shopping as most North Shore subdivisions and closer than many areas on the West Shore.
